| What
We Do
With college
costs increasing at an average rate of 6% to 10% each year, many families
are finding it increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to send their
children through four years of college.
Effective
college financial aid planning requires a sophisticated knowledge of the
complex elements that determine a student's aid eligibility. With four-year
tuition costs ranging from $14,000.00 to $200,000.00, our clients have
discovered that it makes good "cents" to utilize a professional
who has the concrete, real experience to guide you through the process and
ensure you're not losing financial aid dollars.
Our primary
objective is to help your family qualify for your fair share of financial
aid!
How We
Work
- We present
public, educational Financial Aid Seminars for high schools, PTA's,
businesses, and organizations
- We consult
with families to help them qualify for their fair share of financial
aid to make college more affordable.

Our Consultation
Consists of
- A thorough analysis of your family situation regarding the factors that impact your aid eligibility.
- Recommendations and strategies to ensure that the student is demonstrating as much financial need as legally possible.
- A calculation of your EFC, Expected Family Contribution. (Knowing how much your out-of-pocket costs will be before you go through the process could save you considerable time, money, and frustration).
- Review of FAFSA forms prior to submission to minimize errors.
- Monthly updates concerning financial aid changes and strategies.
- Sound advice on how to effectively finance the portion of college costs not subsidized by aid.
- Expert review of the necessary financial aid forms. (Forms improperly completed or sent in too late may reduce, delay, or disqualify your aid).
- Tips on evaluating and appealing the financial aid packages offered.
Results
For privacy
reasons, we do not discuss our clients' successes unless they agree to
share that information. (See our testimony site for some of our clients
remarks).
Because each
family's financial situation is different, the strategies and results
will differ from family to family. Here are some of our clients' comments:
- "
like
having a unbiased advocate that works for us ,"
- "...like
having a year around resource for funding questions,"
- "We
appreciate $4,000 that we would have left on the table."
- "After
working with Thaddeus Lubbers, we received a full-ride financial aid
scholarship to the college that was our daughter's first choice. Another
local college had committed to only $7,500.00 of aid. Thank you."
- "We
thought, we would be unable to qualify for aid, but received over $5,000
worth of aid."
